He prays the Friday prayer on the way, in the vale of Banu Salim, then rides into the city as every family begs him to stay with them. “This camel is commanded by Allah,” he says; it kneels in the quarter of Banu an-Najjar, and he lodges with Abu Ayyub al-Ansari. His family and Abu Bakr’s follow soon after.
