‘Abdullah bin Jahsh leads twelve men to watch a Quraish caravan at Nakhlah. They attack it in the sacred month of Rajab, killing one man. The Prophet ﷺ disapproves and holds back the spoils until a verse answers the uproar, saying that driving people from Allah’s way and from the Sacred Mosque is graver still.
