The plot in Dar an-Nadwah

The chiefs of Quraish meet in their assembly house. Rejecting exile and imprisonment, they adopt Abu Jahl’s plan: a young man from every clan will strike the Prophet ﷺ at once, so that no single clan can be held to account for his blood.
