The Prophet ﷺ gives large shares of the spoils to chiefs of Quraish and other tribes who had recently accepted Islam. Some Helpers feel overlooked. He gathers them and asks: are you not content that others go home with sheep and camels, while you go home with the Messenger of Allah? They weep and say they are content. When a Hawazin delegation comes as Muslims, he gives back his own share of the captives and asks the others to do the same, and the women and children are returned.

Are you not satisfied, O group of Helpers that the people go with ewes and camels while you go along with the Messenger of Allah to your dwellings.
