The Prophet ﷺ leads the pilgrimage with a crowd the book puts at 124,000 or 144,000. At ‘Arafah he tells them their blood and property are sacred to one another, abolishes blood feuds and usury from the days of ignorance, tells them to fear Allah in their treatment of women, and says he leaves them the Book of Allah and his Sunnah. The verse “This day I have perfected your religion for you” is revealed.
